The £2.5 million V12 GMA T.50 is the next McLaren F1 - and it uses a fan to create downforce

Gordon Murray blew the world away in the 1990s when he designed the McLaren F1, and now he's back with a brand new hypercar that uses a very similar recipe, apart from one vital ingredient.
The GMA T.50 is a V12, manual, carbon fibre hypercar that uses a ground-effect fan to create more downforce than any road car before. Valkyrie, step aside, Professor Murray looks to have pulled a blinder with this £2.5 million weapon.

I love it, cars should be usable not beautifull, people are beautifull, cars need to be usable, to serve a purpose and this one serves a purpose. What purpose ?   • 12k redline! That's a bit mental, innit? There's loads to like about this car. For one, it picks up where the F1 left off, and that's saying something. Centrally seated driver. Cool! Looks like the F1. Awesome! V12 made by Cosworth. Super cool! Though, personally, it seems that Murray cannot design a complete car. The front of the car is gorgeous. The concept as a whole is wonderous, but the back end looks ponderous. This is the same design style that I feel plagued the F1. Gorgeous from the front, but the back just falls apart. And as much as this man wants to save weight, there's some things that could still be lightened to give the car just that much more savings. Why not perforate the leather? Why are the wheels not carbon fiber? I admit that I'm not on the level that Murray is, but some things do make you wonder a bit, yeah? Something like perforating the leather might seem small, but if he took something like a few ounces out of the pedals, the few grams saved with the leather is still in the same vein of thought. For the wheels, I'm genuinely surprised they're not carbon fiber. Sky high price tag and still using aluminium when a lighter and stronger material would pay dividends.
